These songs are continuously modified from 72 ancient songs and especially from 20 original songs (to songs) for 4 (slightly) tunes, including 06 Northern songs (expressing cheerfulness and generosity), 07 Ha (used in sacrifices, dignified), 03 Nam (expressing peace and serenity) and 04 O’an (describing grief and separation).

Instruments used in Don ca tai tu include: pliers, zithers, storks, pipa, zithers (or zithers, lutes), flutes, peppers, song loans… Since about 1930 there are more concave keys guitar, violin, Hawaiian guitar (lute low).

Who is the ancestor of the folk music profession

Cao Van Lau, often called Sau Lau, (December 22, 1892 – August 13, 1976) was a musician and author of the song “Da Co Hoai Lang”, a unique and most famous song in the art of reforming.

At the age of 23 (1913), Cao Van Lau obeyed his parents’ orders to get married, that is, Ms. Tran Thi Tan (1899-1967), a polite girl in Tu O field (Chung Ba Khanh).

Around this time, he composed a short version called Ba Dieu, which was later changed to Thu Phong, consisting of eight four-tempo lines. After that, this song was added lyrics by composer Trinh Thien Tu and has a new name, Happy to meet you.
